I had a wonderful experience with some friends and neighbors. I invited them over for a fairy building workshop. First I demonstrated how to make a few things, a chair, a table, a door, etc. They took off from there and the creative juices really
I recently got a set of little plastic fairies and mixed in was a tiny purple snail. So I just had to create a tiny house for them. Some people make dog houses. I make snail homes.

Our second visit to Allendale Park in Oakland. Once again the swings were extraordinary. The fairies must play on them all night. We couldn't stay off them. We left another house for the wee folk to keep them snug and warm.

While in Alameda checking out fairy doors, we paid a quick visit to Littlejohn Park to drop off a fairy house of our own. So happy to add to the whimsy.

This is a rare post that doesn't feature my own fairy creations. Instead, we traveled to Alameda to research fairy doors. Alameda is well known as a place full of fairies hiding in trees behind fantastical doorways. There's even a map leading the
Visited another of Oakland's mini-parks, this one is Foothill Meadows Extension in East Oakland. Now in general, I have found all Oakland parks to be beautiful and fun, with the rare bothersome wrinkle thrown in. But this park could really use some
We made yet another visit to Cesar Chavez Park in Oakland. I guess what we're placing just now aren't so much fairy houses as gnome homes. We found a wonderful spot for one beneath a huge rose bush. And we were happy to see that the house we left
Visiting a new park is always fun, especially when there are swings to play on. Allendale has a fantastic playground, we barely found time for the fairies and gnomes. But in the end, we set the house behind a big tree. It seems we feel that trees
This marked our second visit to Josie De La Cruz Park in Oakland. This is a huge park with two playgrounds, a ball field, and a big community garden. And in one corner we found this cute spot to set our fairy house. We left a couple gnomes to enjo
We're running out of new parks to visit. So we went back to Cesar Chavez Park for our latest fairybombing. They have some lovely roses going on; Melissa reports that their scent is delightful!

Came home from a short trip to find this gaggle of gnomes sitting by our front door. Along with a new poem. Still no idea who the magic gnome creator and poet might be. We will take them out with our fairy houses, of course. I suppose someday I m
Mandana Plaza Park on Lakeshore was our next stop. Left a couple little fairies along with their new home. Can you tell how much fun we have doing this?

We found ourselves back at the rock sculpture park right next to the freeway offramp at 580 on Fruitvale Avenue. There were new creations since our last visit, new spires and columns! We felt that our fairy abode would fit in perfectly, along with
Back to Mandana Plaza Park on Lakeshore. We haven't been to this particular spot in months so we decided to stop by. Left a nice fairy abode at the foot of an enormous redwood, including a couple sprites to move right in.

Our new entry mat showed up today. It goes perfectly with the three metal sculptures in the front yard. We are a devoted wonderland family here!

And a photo of our ever changing fairy village out front. Passing children keep relocating things.

We found a tiny park with no name on Fruitvale Avenue right by the 580 offramp. What makes it particularly wonderful is that it's chock full of oddly shaped stones. They look like the remains from someone building a sidewalk or planter. Not only t
It's good to be back home after my trip East. For our first fairybombing of the summer, we revisited the William D Wood park in Oakland. This was a good opportunity to use my new plaques which read, "Please Share The Fun"
Newest friend Addie playing with the fairy house I brought from California for her. She loved moving the furniture in and out. She can create a whole world of fairies and tiny creatures around the house.

Added some fairy furniture to Charter Street Park in Boston's North End. This cute little park already sported a fairy house; along with a bunch of other sculptures. And as a special treat, a multitude of Ukrainian flags.

Dropped some fairy furniture in the Boston Public Garden today. Those are the famous swan boats in the background. The Swan Boats have been toodling around the pond since 1877.
